Food For Thought
When you run alone, it’s called race. When God runs with you, it’s called grace.
Changes
Awaking one day
To a better way
Planting all the seeds
That lead to good deeds
Moving in the right direction
With God’s love and affection
Learning to stand
As we hold God’s hand
Learning that faith is the key
To what’s meant to be
Having a change of heart
Seeing where we should start
Letting go of fear
Cause God almighty is near
Hearing an encouraging word
That’s the best we’ve heard
Learning to love
Just like heaven above
Passing yet another test
Just like all the rest
Finding a place
Filled with mercy and grace
Seeing what God can do
How He brought us through
Walking with our heads held high
Without asking why
Seeing what’s in stone
Knowing we’re not alone
Taking nothing for granted
Watering the seeds we’ve planted
Learning as we go
Sharing what we know
Learning to smile
Even laugh a little while
Knowing our name
Letting go of shame
Fulfilling the purpose
We see lying at the surface
Learning to sit still
As we accept God’s will
Gaining a renewed strength
As we talk at length
Signals serious changes
Breaking Away
Starting every day anew
Changing our point of view
Trying to look ahead
Without an ounce of dread
Continuing to pray
Cherishing every day
Learning to love
Just like heaven above
Getting much stronger
As the days get longer
Relishing peace of mind
Which is hard to find
Embracing every journey
Meant for us only
Listening to a word
That’s the best we’ve heard
Finding something pure
Feeling safe and secure
Taking one step at a time
While still in our prime
Carrying several lessons
That become heartfelt confessions
Seeing who we are
As we reach for a star
Seeing God standing there
Learning to share
Seeing our purpose
Rise to the surface
Finding a place
Filled with mercy and grace
Looking in our hearts
Where love starts
Feeling God’s affection
Having His protection
Starting a new chapter
Filled with joy and laughter
Seeing what’s real
Too difficult to conceal
Learning as we go
Sharing what you know
Learning to live
Learning to give
Learning from the past
While making every moment last
Learning to dream
As strange as that may seem
Occurs every day
While we’re breaking away
Food For Thought
God will make a way.
Food For Thought
God knows what you need, and He will provide.
When The Sun Sets
When the sun sets
The mind becomes clear
We let go of fear
God takes a hand
As we learn to stand
Our purpose rises
We find a few surprises
Things are set in stone
We realize we’re not alone
God’s love grows
He shares what He knows
We learn to live
We learn to give
We learn to love
Just like heaven above
And our souls become free
As we see what’s meant to be
When the sun sets
God meets us where we are
While we wish on a star
We feel a connection
We feel God’s protection
We whisper a prayer
Thanking God for being there
We rest in a place
Filled with mercy and grace
God lays a path
Without unleashing His wrath
We see what’s real
Too difficult to conceal
We see special things
And all the joy life brings
We learn from the day
We cherish God’s way
We hold each other close
Cause bonding matters most
We listen to a word
That’s the best we’ve heard
We turn ourselves around
We find solid ground
And we see what faith gets
When the sun sets
Blowing In The Wind
Where can we find love
Where can we find heaven above
Where can we find peace
Our hearts won’t release
Where can we find someone to hold
As our story is told
Where can we find our purpose
Lying at the surface
Where can we gain strength
As we talk with God at length
Where can we embrace a journey
Meant for us only
Where can we find something pure
Become safe and secure
Where can we set things in stone
As we realize we’re not alone
The answers are blowing in the wind
Where can we fill a soul
With what makes life whole
Where can we find a place
Filled with mercy and grace
Where can our hearts run free
As we see what’s meant to be
Where can we find affection
As well as protection
Where can we cross a road
As God carries the load
Where can we count every blessing
Without a lot of stressing
Where can we reach our peak
As we listen to God speak
Where can we remember who we are
As we reach for a star
Where can we go
As we share what we know
The answers are blowing in the wind
