Is where we start

We share every day

In a special way

We hold hands

Right where love stands

God takes the lead

That’s a blessing indeed

We bask in His glory

As we tell our story

It’s plain to see

We’re meant to be

Heart to heart

While in our zone

We’re on solid ground

No matter who’s around

We wear a smile

That last awhile

We have peace of mind

And that’s difficult to find

Our love is true

It feels like morning dew

And we’ll continue working heart to heart

The past is what used to be
And all the eye can see
It’s full of memories galore
That fill the heart to the core
It’s a place and time
That reminds us of our prime
It has a strange way
Of filling every day
It can teach lessons
That turn into heartfelt confessions
The past is a journey

It can offer something pure
It can make us feel secure
It is a step we take
And something we make
It’s something we do on our own
While in our comfort zone
It can give us strength
After talking to God at length
It has a purpose
That lies at the surface
It’s something we share
Cause we know God is there
