As I look at the rising sun
I thank God for the day
I cherish it in every way
I prepare of a journey
Meant for me only
I never know what I’ll find
Prayer gives me peace of mind
I encounter many lessons
Which I turn into confessions
The journey fills my soul
God’s love makes me whole
I stumble here and there
But God offers tender loving care
The journey is my destiny
It brings out the best in me
The scars I don’t hide
I wear them with pride
God knows what I go through
It doesn’t change my point of view
