Trials And Tribulations

We face every day

Knowing God will make a way

We stumble here and there

But God offers tender loving care

We grapple with doubt

Until God works things out

We face some scorn

Sometimes our hearts are torn

We grapple with fear

Until God holds us near

We feel weak

Until we hear God speak

We travel far

As God heals every scar

We search high and low

For what will help us grow

Before God sets our path

Without unleashing His wrath

We wonder what we’ll find

But God offers peace of mind

We face our naysayers

While saying our prayers

Cause God set things in stone

He never leaves us alone

We fall then rise again

Knowing with faith we win

We learn to smile

Even laugh a little while

We learn to stand

While holding God’s hand

We embrace an encouraging word

That deserves to be heard

We find our voice

We begin to rejoice

We change our view

When we see what God can do

We look in our hearts

Then see where love starts

We keep going

All while knowing

God has something for us

In Him we trust

We give as good as we get

With very little regret

Cause what we have is real

Something we can’t conceal

We see where to start

We never fall apart

During trials and tribulations

Days that feel brand new

I remember holding your hand

Right where you stand

All the moments we shared

All the dreams we dared

The ordained journey

Meant just for us only

Moving without fear

Cause God almighty was near

Looking in your eyes

Then seeing a wonderful surprise

Building the home

Where our souls freely roam

Feeling nothing but love

As we looked at heaven above

What felt safe and pure

What made us feel secure

The moments of pleasure

We cherished beyond measure

When we traveled far

As God healed every scar

When we began to bond

From here and beyond

I remember you

All the things you do

How you filled my core

Before you offered me more

The blessing that came

In Jesus name

How we faced our naysayers

While saying our prayers

Knowing God set our path

Without unleashing His wrath

What God set in stone

Why He never leaves us alone

The encouraging word

That deserves to be heard

How we filled every chapter

With joy and laughter

When we moved without a doubt

That things would work out

When God removed every cloud

Moments that made us proud

What felt real

Things we couldn’t conceal

How we started over again
