Born Again

We face a new day

Knowing God will make way

We felt used

We were so confused

Until God revealed our purpose

Before it rose to the surface

We gained strength

By talking with God at length

We learned to stand

While holding God’s hand

God turned us around

Put us on solid ground

We have perfect peace

Our hearts won’t release

We grappled with doubt

Until God worked things out

We faced our naysayers

While saying our prayers

Knowing God set our path

Without unleashing His wrath

We learned to smile

Even laugh a little while

Faith gave us new dreams

Strange though it seems

We now have a voice

So we can rejoice

We get stronger

As our journey gets longer

We travel far

As we heal every scar

We stand tall

Cause God answers every call

We survive every storm

We break every norm

We see what’s in stone

Why God never leaves us alone

We hang on the word

That deserves to be heard

We have a home

Where our souls can roam

We know what we hold

As our story is told

A silent prayer

Shows God is there

God is with us
