Happy birthday Dr. King

With the palm of your hand

You spread love across the land

Without stalling

You answered your calling

With all your might

You fought for what was right

You ignored naysayers

You said your prayers

The journey was long

But faith kept you strong

It was about a plan

For your fellow man

Without remorse

You stayed on course

Until the fateful day

You had to go away

There’s work to do

But God will carry us through

We miss your warm embrace

But we know you’re in a better place

What you left behind means everything

Happy birthday Dr. King

Stay on course. You’re closer than you think.

God’s promises will be fulfilled

We’ll see what He willed

He’ll remain faithful and true

He’ll carry us through

He watches us every day

He hears us when we pray

God’s promises are real

Let’s live them with zeal

He’ll turn us around

He’ll put us on solid ground

He’ll fill us to the core

Till we want no more

God’s promises leave little doubt

He’ll work things out

He’ll keep us strong

As we move along

Everything’s set in stone

He won’t leave us alone

God’s promises show His grace

He’ll put us in a better place

He’s one of a kind

He’ll ease a troubled mind

We can feel His power

Hour upon hour

So our voices we raise

In a song of praise

As we embrace God’s promises

Whenever you feel too weak, too insecure, too inadequate, remember that God loves to show His strength in times like these.

The day we met

Is one I won’t forget

We held hands

As we made plans

That moment meant everything

It made our hearts sing

We stood proudly

And we professed loudly

The day we met

We shared our dreams

As strange as it seems

The moment was real

We lived it with zeal

We didn’t have a care

We had do much to share

Now we see

What was meant to be

The day we met

Was unlike any I’ve known

The world can see how we’ve grown

God planted the seed

So we took heed

Our hearts are pure

We feel secure

God leads the way

Each and every day

Therefore I don’t regret

The day we met

God is saying to you today, “You’re going to make it. You and your family will be just fine. Just stand and let me fight this battle.”

From a distance

It’s easy to see

We love each other hungrily

We take a stance

As we do a lover’s dance

It doesn’t take long

We know where we belong

Nothing could be better

God planned it to the letter

From a distance

We see what rings true

And all God has brought us through

A kiss and a song of praise

Can last for days

It’s a testament to love

Sent from heaven above

One touch of the hand

And we know where we stand

From a distance

We forget about the past

We make every moment last

Our love is pure

We feel secure

We’re on a mission

We have clear vision

We have no regrets

Life is as good as it gets

From a distance

Don’t be a people pleaser. All you need is God’s approval for what you do.

I awaken each morning

Heart all aglow

Faith taught me everything I know

I prepare for a journey

Ordained by God only

He guides me along the way

I feel His presence every day

I feel secure

My heart is pure

For via heaven above

I’ve been touched by the light of love

God watches me daily

I trust Him completely

He gives me strength

When we talk at length

Nothing can compare

To what we share

He saved my soul

And now I feel whole

For via heaven above

I’ve been touched by the light of love

I can go through the fire

To obtain what I desire

Cause God is with me

As others can see

The seed has been planted

I take nothing for granted

For via heaven above

I’ve been touched by the light of love

Don’t just pray for God to open doors in your life. Pray for God to close doors in your life that need to be closed.
