In the land of Atlanta, there rose a King

He spoke not  a disparaging word

The voice of God he heard

With the grace of God in hand

He spread love all over the land

Happy birthday Martin

You will never be forgotten

He fought against injustice whenever he saw fit

Despite obstacles, he never quit

Happy birthday Martin

You will never be forgotten

He made the ultimate sacrifice for the human race

To make planet earth a better place

Happy birthday Martin

You will never be forgotten

Although there’s much more work to be done

We’ll keep going until the race is won

Happy birthday Martin

You will never be forgotten

Dreams, things that come in the thick of night

And last until daylight

Dreams, things that remind you of what’s inside

Things that fill you with pride

Dreams, things that won’t let you go

Things that will help you grow

Dreams, God’s way of letting you know what’s  in store

Things that let you know you’re capable of much more

Dreams, things that fill you with confidence

Things you can’t resist

Serenity, oh sweet serenity

Such a beautiful thing to me

Serenity, oh sweet serenity

It’s where I want to be

Serenity, oh sweet serenity

A place of peace and tranquility

Serenity, oh sweet serenity

A precious jewel to find

Helps ease the mind

Serenity, oh sweet serenity

Nothing else will do

It’s sweeter than morning dew

Serenity, oh sweet serenity

Makes life easy to bear

Helps me handle things with care

Serenity, oh sweet serenity

Ensures that my prayers are heard

I stand on God’s word

Serenity, oh sweet serenity

Such a wonderful thing to know

Helps me grow

Serenity, oh sweet serenity

I’ll never let you go

Oh Heavenly Father, your presence is a wonder to behold

You’re the greatest story ever told

When I enter your presence, I feel safe and secure

For I know your love is pure

Your presence provides everything I need

Your words ring true indeed

My hungry soul you feed

In your presence, nothing ever remains the same

Due to the power of your name

In your presence, great things happen

Your presence provides a light for the path

Your presences offers  a savior for the lost

Your presence provides love for all

Helps them stand tall

Your presence is one of a kind

Eases the mind

Oh Heavenly Father, your presence is great

Yesterday, I stopped singing the blues

Threw away old habits I can’t use

Yesterday, I realized what matters most of all

Did what I needed to do so my momentum wouldn’t stall

Yesterday, when I thought I wouldn’t last a day

God showed me the way

Yesterday, my heart was full of gloom and doom

Now, my spirit has started to bloom

Yesterday, I let some people, places and things go

They won’t help me grow

Yesterday, my mind developed in a way I never imagined

Yesterday, I decided to remain in prayer

For I know God is always there

Yesterday, I decided to remain true to what will be

For God is always with me

At some point, we will be confronted with hardships

The key is how we handle them

Hardships are intended to build us, not destroy us

While it’s easy to become discouraged, we must forge ahead

What’s intended for each of us individually, will not pass us by

God is the reason why

Naysayers can say what they will

God will remain at the forefront still

Hardships keep us strong

Right or wrong

Hardships never last

The most difficult moments will result in our greatest triumphs

Hard work, prayer and perseverance are keys to overcoming hardships

Let’s keep our eyes on the prize

For then, we’ll overcome hardships

I won’t let the sun go down on me

From what each day brings, I won’t flee

I won’t let myself be swept out to sea

I’ll remain a shore

Life offers so much more

I’ll continue learning and growing

With the knowing

I’ve reached my new horizons

Life is full of ups and downs

With very few frowns

I’ll reach my new horizons

I’ve got to forge ahead

Prayer will replace worry instead

I’ll reach my new horizons

Naysayers will be left behind

My destiny will be revealed

To God, I’ve already appealed

I’ll reach my new horizons

My life will be what God intended

My prayers haven’t ended

I’ll reach my new horizons

Got food, clothing and shelter

God a Heavenly Father above

His love is softer than a dove

I’m so blessed

I get plenty of rest

Cause God knows best

I’m so blessed

Prayer keeps me centered winter, spring, summer and fall

God is the key to it all

I’m so blessed

Peace, comfort, security

God given ability

I’m so blessed

No matter what happens from moment to moment

One thing is clear

God is always near

I’m so blessed

Nothing will ever keep me down

My God is always around

I’m so blessed

I gather each moment as it comes

Like a precious stone

The memories won’t leave me alone

I savory every gentle touch

For they all mean so much

I continue to follow the path that God laid

For I know how high a price He paid

I relish the rise of the glistening sun

From its beauty, I will not run

I keep the people, places and things dear to me close to me

Because I love them eternally

God’s grace, guidance and mercy follow me

It’s no mystery

I am at a peaceful place

Due to His grace
