Before hearing God speak

Then saw what couldn’t be denied

We’ve gone from broken to blessed

We’ve learned to let go

Of what we used to know

We’ve looked ahead

While filled with dread

Before we found peace

Our hearts won’t release

We’ve fallen before rising again

Knowing faith would help us win

We’ve gotten turned around

Before finding solid ground

We’ve tried to smile

Even laugh a little while

As God lifted us up

Then filled every cup

While still in our prime

The day we met

We took a long walk

We discussed love

Right where God stands

To celebrate our romance

Too hard to conceal

Filled with mercy and grace

We saw what God can do

We planted seeds

We did good deeds

We held each other close

Cause bonding matters most

Cause that’s all we’ve heard

God filled our core

Before He offered us more

We enjoyed moments of pleasure

Beyond all measure

We saw what was for us

The God we both trust

We shared a smile

We laughed a little while

We gained strength

As we talked at length

We kept going

All while knowing

God led the way
