The Staircase

The staircase shows

What the heart knows

It represents all our days

God’s loving ways

The purpose we fulfill

Why we accept God’s will

How far we travel

Why our faith won’t unravel

Where we stand

As we hold God’s hand

The love we share

How we show we care

What we know is real

Much too difficult to conceal

And the strength we gain

Through heartache and pain

The staircase is where we go

To share what we know

It represents lessons

That become heartfelt confessions

The encouraging word

We’ve always heard

How God removes fear

Whenever He’s near

The steps we take

The memories we make

The life we live

The love we give

The peace of mind

That’s hard to find

What our souls feel

What we know is real

The treasure we hold

The story we’ve told

The look in our hearts

Where love usually starts

Our unyielding principles

God’s amazing miracles

What we chase

All lies on the staircase

Without Fear

We face every day

Come what may

We embark on every journey

Meant for us only

We wonder what we’ll find

As we search for peace of mind

Yet it’s crystal clear

What we hold dear

We carry life lessons

That become heartfelt confessions

We learn to stand

As we hold God’s hand

We rest in a place

Filled with mercy and grace

And we keep our faith near

Without fear

We share every dream

Strange though it may seem

We look to God

With a wink and nod

Knowing He creates a path

Without unleashing His wrath

We see what’s meant for us

Cause in God we trust

We reach our peak

Whenever we hear God speak

We learn as we go

We share what we know

We land on solid ground

We share the joy we found

We take one moment at a time

While still in our prime

We feel the love

Coming from heaven above

Our hearts get a lift

We receive a wonderful gift

And we keep our faith near

Without fear

In Time

In Time

We’ll relish peace of mind

Which is hard to find

We’ll feel the love

That comes from heaven above

We’ll hold God’s hand

Right where we stand

We’ll find peace

Our hearts won’t release

We’ll lift one voice

As we begin to rejoice

We’ll see every soul

See what makes life whole

We’ll see what’s for us

In God we’ll trust

And we’ll find a place

Filled with mercy and grace

In time

We’ll remember who we are

As we reach for a star

We’ll turn ourselves around

We’ll find solid ground

We’ll stand tall

God will answer our call

We’ll feel His affection

We’ll have His protection

We’ll learn to live

We’ll learn to give

We’ll ignore our naysayers

As we say our prayers

We’ll hear an encouraging word

We’ll share what we’ve heard

We’ll share our dreams

Until we burst at the seams

We’ll see what’s in stone

We’ll realize we’re not alone

We’ll see every step we take

We see the memories we’ll make

Our journey will continue

Love will be on the menu

We’ll finally reach our prime

In time

Heaven Knows

Heaven knows

Our love is real

Too difficult to conceal

We share every day

In a very special way

God planted the seed

To a blessing indeed

We look in our hearts

Then see where love starts

As part of a journey

Meant for us only

We look in each other’s eyes

There’s no surprise

No need to pretend

We love until the end

And we rest in a place

Filled with mercy and grace

Heaven knows

God gave us this path

Without unleashing His wrath

We just keep going

All while knowing

We’re meant to be

That we can plainly see

We hold hands

Right where God stands

Nothing means more

We’re filled to the core

We see what’s pure

Faith keeps us secure

Life gets better

We embrace it to the letter

Every smile is golden

To God we’re beholden

We hold each other close

Cause love matters most

Every word spoken is true

God carries us through

Our bond remains strong

All day long

We rest in paradise

It feels so nice

To be together

During stormy weather

Heaven knows
