Wearing a smile

That last quite awhile

Having a talk with God

Giving Him a wink and nod

Finding a safe space

To run your race

Seeing your purpose

Lying at the surface

Cherishing every day

In your own special way

Taking one step at a time

While still in your prime

Starting a new chapter

Filled with joy and laughter

Rising and falling again

Knowing you will win

Having a hand to hold

As your story is told

Learning from the past

Making every moment last

Faith carrying you through

No matter what you do

Learning to rejoice

Whenever you hear God’s voice

Learning to stand

As God holds your hand

Sharing your dreams

Until you burst at the seams

Hearing a word

That’s the best you’ve heard

Standing on solid ground

As you turn your life around

Learning as you go

Sharing what you know

Seeing what’s real

Knowing what to reveal

Seeing what you’ll gain

Through heartache and pain

Feeling tender loving care

Knowing God is there

Learning how to live

Learning how to give

Learning how to love

Just like heaven above

Leads to happy

Taking one step at a time

While still in our prime

Learning as we go

Sharing what we know

Embracing who we are

As we reach for a star

Finding a way

To live every day

Getting filled to the core

Before God offers us more

Finding a place

Filled with nothing but grace

Embracing the purpose

We see lying at the surface

Striking a few poses

As we smell the roses

Letting go of fear

Knowing almighty God is near

Getting a second chance

To do a victory dance

Seeing what’s in stone

Feeling we aren’t alone

Giving as good as we get

With very little regret

Standing on principles

As God performs miracles

Feeling love in the air

Thanking God for being there

Seeing that faith is the key

To what’s meant to be

Looking at the heart

To see where to start

Finding solid ground

Sharing the joy you found

Finding something pure

Feeling safe and secure

Hearing a voice

That makes you rejoice

Feeling God’s affection

As well as protection

Him seeing you through

No matter what you do

Is all for you only

It’s called the journey

God will never leave you on your own.

Don’t spend another moment worrying. God has worked it out for you.

We face every day

We try to find a way

We face our naysayers

As we say our prayers

We stumble here and there

As we look for someone to care

We look for peace of mind

Which is hard to find

We wonder what’s real

What our hearts will reveal

We long to start a chapter

Filled with joy and laughter

We look for solid ground

As we turn our lives around

Before we see a light

That shines day and night

Joy we begin to release

After God gives us perfect peace

We search for a place

To run our race

We look for affection

As well as protection

We travel far

In search of a star

We feel confused

We feel used

We shed a few tears

As we look at our fears

We try to stay strong

Whether we’re right or wrong

We wonder what’s meant for us

And who we can trust

We search for something better

As we live life to the letter

We wonder about purpose

As it rises to the surface

We search the mind

Wondering what we’ll find

Then joy we release

As God gives us perfect peace

One day we’ll learn to pray

We’ll see a new day

We’ll learn lessons

That become heartfelt confessions

We’ll find a place

Filled with mercy and grace

We’ll gain strength

As we talk with God at length

We’ll see our purpose

Lying at the surface

We’ll learn to let go

Of things we used to know

We’ll learn to see

What’s meant to be

We’ll plant seeds

That lead to good deeds

One day we’ll get stronger

As our days get longer

We’ll strike a few poses

As we stop and smell the roses

We’ll find solid ground

Faith will turn our lives around

We’ll see what’s in stone

God won’t leave us alone

We’ll hold hands

Right where God stands

God’s plan will be clear

As we hold each other near

We’ll take time

To remember our prime

We’ll get a chance

To do a victory dance

One voice we’ll raise

In a song of praise

We’ll feel God’s affection

As well as His protection

We’ll find something pure

We’ll feel safe and secure

We’ll share our dreams

Until we burst at the seams

We’ll follow our guide

Our gratitude we won’t hide

And we’ll find our way

One day

God will never leave you. You are not alone.

God’s timing might be sooner than you think. Be ready.

The old folks say

Things have changed in every way

They see something new

Something that changes the point of view

Something they haven’t seen before

Something that triggers their core

Things they once treasured

Are no longer measured

What they used to hold dear

Is no longer here

They say someone stole

What used to make them whole

They see replicas of the past

That don’t always last

Principles aren’t there

Does anyone care

The old folks say

Love is what’s missing

Along with kissing

Things that fill the heart

From the very start

They think what eases the mind

Is very hard to find

Along what filled them with pride

As they walked stride for stride

They wonder what young people know

What will help them grow

They long for something pure

To feel safe and secure

They want to smile

Have the smile last awhile

They want to remember the time

They were in their prime

What was set in stone

How they were never alone

They long for a chance

To do a victory dance

We need a better day

The old folks say

Believe in love

Just like heaven above

Believe in the peace

Your heart can’t release

Believe in the seeds

That lead to good deeds

Believe what keeps you strong

Whether you’re right or wrong

Believe in the word

That’s the best you’ve heard

Believe in the place

Filled with mercy and grace

Believe in the purpose

You see lying at the surface

Believe in better days

As you change your ways

Believe faith is the key

To what’s meant to be

Believe you’ll reach your peak

Whenever you hear God speak

Believe what fills your soul

And what makes life whole

Believe what fills your heart

Right where you start

Believe in God’s affection

As well as His protection

Believe in God’s will

As you sit perfectly still

Believe every journey

Is meant for you only

Believe every silent prayer

Shows God is there

Believe He’ll see you through

No matter what you do

Believe you’ll get a chance

To do a victory dance

Believe you have a hand to hold

As your story is told

Believe that every step you take

Is a memory you’ll make

Believe at your core

God will give you more

You can achieve

So believe
