I felt the hand of God

I gave Him a wink and a nod

I followed His every move

Cause I had something to prove

Cause I knew God was near

No one can take what God has given you.

I’ve traveled awfully far

While healing every scar

Life hasn’t been fair

But God is always there

I’ve been through the fire

Down to the wire

I’ve been shamed

I’ve been defamed

I’ve been neglected

I’ve been rejected

But each and every day

I continue to pray

Naysayers I ignore

As I collect miracles galore

Whenever I’m weak

I listen to God speak

I continue to stumble

But experience makes me humble

When I begin to embrace fear

I see God standing near

One look in His eye

And I understand why

Right or wrong

Life will make me strong

I stand on solid ground

Knowing there’s always a chance

For a turn around

I see a love light

It shines day and night

It feels like morning dew

It makes me think of you

It warms my heart

It shows me where to start

It helps me grow

It shares what I know

It shows where you stand

As you hold my hand

And it let’s me feel God’s power

Hour upon hour

I see a love light

I embrace it day and night

It shows the bond we share

As we hold each other close

Like love matters most

It comforts and guides me

I don’t want to hide

It reduces fear
