Patient

We wait for God to move

Knowing He has nothing to prove

We feel His power

Hour after hour

As we sit perfectly still

While accepting His will

We gain strength

While talking with Him at length

He reveals what’s in stone

He never leaves us alone

We build as we go

We share what we know

God lifts us up

He fills every cup

We face our naysayers

While saying our prayers

Cause we know what’s for us

In God we trust

We hang on His word

Cause that’s all we’ve heard

We feel nothing but love

Coming from heaven above

Prayer gives us peace

Our hearts won’t release

We learn to stand

As we hold God’s hand

We see what we’ve learned

All the stripes we’ve earned

God reveals who we are

As we reach for a star

Knowing with faith we’ll win

We grapple with doubt

Until God works things out

God set our path

In a safe and secure place

We stand on solid ground

We share the joy we found

We survive every storm

We break every norm

Life gets better

As we embrace it to the letter

We wait on God

With a wink and nod

We sat by candlelight

When we talked last night

We held hands

Right where love stands

Our hearts beat as one

Cause we saw what God had done

We did a love dance

To celebrate our romance

We relished the treasure we found

While we sat on solid ground

Every kiss was real

Too difficult to conceal

Every tender touch

Meant so much

We found a home

Where our souls could roam

God’s precious gift

Gave us a lift

We built our dreams

Until we burst at the seams

We got filled to the core

Before God offered us more

We broke into a smile

We looked in our hearts

To see where love starts

That lead to good deeds

We felt God’s power
