We bond every day

As God leads the way

We hold each other close

We share what we know

In Him we trust

Our naysayers we ignore

Cause God filled us to the core

We find something pure

We feel safe and secure

While still in our prime

The moment makes God proud

We feel the power of God

We offer a wink and nod

Cause He is the key

To what’s meant to be

We hold hands

Right where God stands

It means everything

We see what faith can bring

We remember who we are

We lift one voice

As we begin to rejoice

Cause we found a treasure

We cherish beyond measure

We share a kiss

That’s hard to resist

We share a touch

Life gets better

Our bond continues to grow

A Cry In The Night

I heard a cry in the night

As I looked at the moonlight

The sound traveled far

While it healed every scar

It asked for strength

As it talked with God at length

It asked God where to go

Cause the heart didn’t know

It longed for a home

Where the soul could roam

It mentioned fear

Until it saw God standing near

It asked for a word

That deserves to be heard

It inquired about purpose

Before it rose to the surface

It longed to touch a hand

While the heart tried to stand

It changed its view

It saw what God can do

It made the eyes see

What’s truly meant to be

And it taught life lessons

That will become heartfelt confessions

I heard a cry in the night

The sound pierced the air

Then offered tender loving care

It found its path

Without unleashing God’s wrath

It revealed the power of God

It offered a wink and nod

It spoke of what the heart will gain

Through heartache and pain

It spoke of a mission

Then crystal clear vision

It revealed what’s in stone

Why the heart is never alone

It spoke of the journey

Meant for the soul only
