The Grateful Ones

We face every day

Knowing God made a way

We feel unconditional love

Coming from heaven above

We relish perfect peace

Our hearts won’t release

We see what’s in stone

Why God won’t leave us alone

We fulfill our purpose

As it rises to the surface

We see a silent prayer

Shows God is there

Our naysayers we ignore

As God fills us to the core

We follow our guiding light

Both day and night

We rest in a place

Filled with mercy and grace

We stand on solid ground

We share the joy we found

We share a smile

We laugh a little while

Our souls run free

We know what’s meant to be

Every single chapter

Is filled with joy and laughter

We’re the grateful ones

We learn as we go

We share what we know

We remember who we are

As we reach for a star

We embrace every journey

Meant just for us only

We enjoy moments of pleasure

Beyond all measure

We build our dreams

Until we burst at the seams

We hang on the word

We’ve always heard

We move without fear

Cause God almighty is near

We know our name

We feel no shame

We know what we hold

Our story will be told

Every single chapter

Is filled with joy and laughter

We’re the grateful ones

Since I Found You

Since I found you

Every day is brand new

My heart runs free

I know what’s meant to be

I know I can stand

As I hold your hand

I see my purpose

Lying at the surface

I rest at home

Where my soul can roam

I share a journey

Meant just for two only

I move without fear

Cause you’re always near

I wear a smile

That stretches about a mile

I hold you close

Cause bonding matters most

I can fill every chapter

With joy and laughter

I get much stronger

As my journey gets longer

And life is better

Cause I embrace it to the letter

Since I found you

My eyes have a different view

I count blessings galore

As you fill me to the core

I feel your heartbeat with mine

Then realize everything is fine

I feel nothing but love

Coming from heaven above

I feel perfect peace

My heart won’t release

I look in your eyes

Then see a wonderful surprise

I feel your embrace

In a safe and secure place

I reach my peak

Whenever I hear you speak

I look straight ahead

Without an ounce of dread

Knowing God is for us

In Him we trust

I feel like morning dew

Since I found you

Seasons

Seasons

Winter, spring, summer, fall

Whenever God answers our call

The divine journey

Meant just for us only

The purpose made clear

The moment God removes our fear

Whenever we build dreams

Until we burst at the seams

Proof that an answered prayer

Shows God is there

The moment we gain strength

After talking with God at length

Every single chapter

Filled with joy and laughter

The victory dance

After our second chance

When we hold hands

Right where God stands

When we share a smile

That travels about a mile

Hanging on the encouraging word

That we’ve always heard

The moments of pleasure

We cherish beyond measure

The perfect peace

Our hearts won’t release

The unconditional love

That comes from heaven above

The things we gain

Through heartache and pain

The beautiful place

Filled with mercy and grace

When we begin again

Knowing faith helps us win

The inspirating story

Told in all God’s glory

Giving as good as we get

With very little regret

Seeing what’s in stone

Knowing God won’t leave us alone

Seeing the steps we’ll take

All the memories we’ll make

Seeing what God can do

Feeling like morning dew

Seeing the plan

God will reveal when He can

Seeing all the reasons

For all the seasons

You And I

You and I

Share all our days

In very loving ways

We hold each other close

Cause love matters most

We say a silent prayer

Thanking God for being there

Knowing He planted the seed

To a blessing indeed

We do our love dance

To celebrate our romance

We’ve become one

We know what God has done

We build our dreams

Until we burst at the seams

God reveals our purpose

Before it rises to the surface

We move without fear

Cause we hold our faith near

We love in a home

Where our souls can roam

We stand face to face

As we run our race

And life gets better

As we embrace it to the letter

You and I

See a wonderful surprise

Whenever we open our eyes

We fill every chapter

With joy and laughter

We learn as we go

We share what we know

We know what we hold

Our story will be told

We remember who we are

As we reach for a star

Love is our mission

We have crystal clear vision

We see what’s in stone

God won’t leave us alone

We keep going

All while knowing

Love is the reason why

For you and I
