Divine Purpose

Facing every new day

As we accept God’s way

Preparing for another journey

Meant for us only

Without an ounce of fear

Cause God almighty is near

We get stronger as we go

We share what we know

We look all around

Then marvel at what we’ve found

We hold hands

Right where love stands

We stay on course

With very little remorse

We finally see what’s for us

And the God we trust

We build new dreams

That make us burst at the seams

We learn what to ignore

As God fills us to the core

Faith becomes the key

To what’s meant to be

God reveals what’s in stone

He never leaves us alone

We hang on His word

Cause that’s all we’ve heard

We continue to forge ahead

Without an ounce of dread

We change our view

After seeing what God can do

We keep walking

We keep talking

The moment is real

Too difficult to conceal

God gives us direction

As well as protection

We feel God’s power

Hour after hour

It’s something pure

It makes us feel secure

We know what’s by design

So, everything is fine

Cause lying at the surface

Is our divine purpose

Look At Me

Look at me

What do you see

A woman with a purpose

Lying at the surface

A woman filled with love

Just like heaven above

A woman who gains strength

When she talks with God at length

A woman who can stand

As she holds God’s hand

A woman who has a home

Where her soul can roam

A woman who hangs on God’s word

Cause that’s all she’s heard

A woman with a journey

Meant for her only

A woman who builds dreams

That make her burst at the seams

A woman who changed her view

After seeing what God can do

A woman filled with peace

Her heart can’t release

Look at me

What do you see

A woman with no doubt

That God will work things out

A woman who can smile

Even laugh a little while

A woman who looks at lessons learned

And all the stripes she’s earned

A woman who has no fear

Because her God is near

A woman who falls and rises again

But knows faith helps her win

A woman who plants seeds

That lead to good deeds

A woman who looks ahead

Without an ounce of dread

Again, I ask you

Look at me

What do you see
