I’ve had some difficult days

While changing my ways

I’ve faced plenty of scorn

Before God healed every scar

Not knowing the cost

I’ve gotten turned around

Then God put me on solid ground

I’ve grappled with fear

Before God worked things out

I’ve looked ahead

While filled with dread

Until God set my path

Without unleashing His wrath

I’ve wondered what’s for me

What’s meant to be

I’ve searched high and low

For what would help me grow

Until I saw my purpose

Lying at the surface

I have no regrets

I’ve searched for a home

Where my soul could roam

I’ve longed for something real

What would help me heal

What feels pure

What would make me feel secure

Then many blessings were granted

I watered the seeds I planted

I’ve embraced the journey

Meant just for me only

No knowing what I’d find

God gave me peace of mind

I’ve learned to stand

While holding God’s hand

I’ve searched for grace

While moving from place to place

Before God became the guide

Who stood by my side
