The brand new home

How we hang on God’s word

Cause it’s all we’ve heard

Why love is the way

We live every day

Even laugh a little while

They show the place

Where we run our race

The things we ignore

As God fills us to the core

And they reveal the strength we gain

Through heartache and pain

Footprints in the sand

Appear all over the land

They keep us going

All while knowing

God has a plan

He’ll reveal when He can

They remove our fear

Let us know God is always near

They show faith is the key

To what’s meant to be

They show our solid ground

All the joy we’ve found

They reveal our purpose

Before it rises to the surface

They show God’s guidance and direction

As well as protection

They show what we hold

Why our story will be told

And how we learn to stand

When we see footprints in the sand

God is about to show you it was worth the wait.

Keep your head up and keep pushing. Where you started is not where you’re going to end.

Don’t expect God to fail you because He won’t.

God is everything.

Are filled with pain

Until faith shows what we’ll gain

Some days are filled with doubt

Until God works things out

Some days we fear

Until our purpose is made clear

Some days we look around

Before we find solid ground

Some days we’re weak

Until we hear God speak

While holding God’s hand

Some days we hold each other close

Cause bonding matters most

Without an ounce of dread

Then we see what’s meant to be

Some days we let go

Of what we used to know

Some days we dance

After our second chance

Some days we share the love

Coming from heaven above

Some days we carry lessons

That become heartfelt confessions

I see young men

Walking the path God set

They learn as they go

Then share what they know

They get stronger

As their days get longer

They feel the love

Coming from heaven above

Naysayers they ignore

As God fills them to the core

They stand on solid ground

They share the joy they found

They embrace every new journey

Meant for them only

They have God’s affection

As well as protection

They rest in a place

Filled with mercy and grace

And God reveals their purpose

Before it rises to the surface

I see young men

Looking at what’s by design

They know everything is fine

They recognize what’s theirs

They know God cares

They hold each other close

Cause their bond matters most

They hang on God’s word

Cause it’s all they’ve heard

They learn to protect and provide

Their gratitude they don’t hide

They carry life lessons

That will become heartfelt confessions

They recognize faith is the key

To what’s meant to be

They cherish every day

In their own special way

They embrace every moment of pleasure

Beyond all measure

And I watch them win

Young men

Walk in the room like God sent you there.
