Hour After Hour

Hour after hour

We feel God’s power

We embrace the love

That comes from heaven above

We feel perfect peace

Our hearts won’t release

Our souls run free

Faith shows what’s meant to be

We hang on God’s word

Cause it’s all we’ve heard

We rest in a place

Where we run our race

We continue to believe

We see what we can achieve

We learn to smile

We laugh a little while

We stand on solid ground

We share the joy we found

God gives us strength

As we talk with Him length

And we count every blessing

Without stressing

Hour after hour

We embrace every journey

Meant for us only

We lift one voice

As we continue to rejoice

We see what we hold

As our story is told

We share what we’ve learned

We see the stripes we’ve earned

We take one step at a time

While still in our prime

We hold our faith close

Cause our faith matters most

We see what’s for us

We praise the God we trust

We follow His direction

We feel His affection

We see blessings granted

We water the seeds we’ve planted

We learn how to live

How to give

And how to stand

As we hold God’s hand

Hour after hour

In The Spirit

The spirit appears every day

And you wear a smile all day

It offers God’s affection

As well as protection

It sets a path

Without unleashing God’s wrath

It reveals your purpose

Before it rises to the surface

It holds you close

Cause you matter most

It helps you stand

As you hold God’s hand

It sets things in stone

It proves you’re not alone

It offers an encouraging word

That needs to be heard

It changes your view

It shows what God can do

It fills every chapter

With joy and laughter

It fills your soul

And it makes you whole

The spirit is real

Too difficult to conceal

It gives you strength

As you talk with God at length

It fills every journey

Meant for you only

It provides a home

Where your soul can roam

It gives you peace

Your heart won’t release

It’s the precious seed

That becomes a blessing indeed

It provides moments of pleasure

Beyond all measure

It knows your name

Let go of your shame

It rests in a place

Filled with mercy and grace

It offers solid ground

It shows the joy you found

It offers a surprise

When you open your eyes

The spirit
