In The Making

The dawn of a new day

Learning to cherish God’s way

Learning life lessons

That become heartfelt confessions

Seeing that faith is the key

To what’s meant to be

Planting the seeds

That lead to good deeds

Filling the soul

With what makes us whole

Ignoring all naysayers

While saying our prayers

Fulfilling the new purpose

Rising to the surface

Gaining a renewed strength

While talking with God at length

Looking at heaven above

While building a new love

Learning to stand

As we hold God’s hand

Remembering who we are

As we reach for a star

Giving as good as we get

With very little regret

Letting our light shine

Knowing everything is fine

Taking the time

To remember our prime

Finding a place

Filled with mercy and grace

Listening to a word

That’s the best we’ve heard

Turning our lives around

Suddenly finding solid ground

Looking ahead

Without an ounce of dread

Is all for the taking

And shows a soul in the making

Everything

You fill every day

In a very loving way

You touch me to the core

I want to give you more

You’re a dream come true

You’re sweeter than morning dew

You’re the guiding light

I follow day and night

You’re a sight to behold

You’re a story untold

What I feel is real

Too difficult to conceal

God planted the seed

To a blessing indeed

I love the joy you bring

You’re my everything

Your love set me free

I know it’s meant to be

Every moment is pure

You make me feel secure

I stand on solid ground

Whenever you’re around

The sound of your voice

Makes me rejoice

I know where I stand

With one touch of your hand

One thing I know

Your love helps me grow

As I look at heaven above

All I see is your love

You hold me close

Cause I matter most

Your tender kiss

Is something I can’t resist

It makes me proud

I’ll say it out loud

You are the journey

Meant for me only

You set things in stone

You never leave me alone

I love the joy you bring

You’re my everything

Where Love Lies

Where love lies

Is a beautiful place

Filled with mercy and grace

A strong hand to hold

A story to be told

An ordained journey

Meant for us only

A lifelong purpose

Rising to the surface

A million dreams

Where we burst at the seams

Valuable life lessons

That turn into confessions

All the seeds

That lead to good deeds

And a million hearts

Where love starts

Where love lies

Is a tender touch

That means so much

A beautiful way

To cherish every day

The silent prayer

That shows God is there

The second chance

The victory dance

The powerful word

That’s the best ever heard

What’s very real

Too difficult to conceal

What God sets in stone

Why we’re never left alone

A wide smile

That last for awhile

Memories that last

After a difficult past

A very solid ground

The joy we’ve found

How we fall and rise again

How God teaches us to win

Wonderful things we do

How God brought us through

And every surprise

Sits where love lies

Behind The Smile

Behind the smile

Lies blessings galore

Ways God touches the core

There’s a perfect peace

The heart can’t release

An unconditional love

That comes from heaven above

Moments that fill the soul

And make life whole

The victory dance

Done after a second chance

The amazing story

Told in all God’s glory

The wonderful way

To live every day

And all the lessons

That become heartfelt confessions

Behind the smile

Lies a powerful word

That’s the best ever heard

A tender touch

That means so much

The God given purpose

Lying at the surface

All the seeds

That lead to good deeds

The tender loving care

That shows God is there

The mission made clear

What we hold dear

The special place

Filled with guidance and grace

Things set in stone

Things never left alone

Our solid ground

The joy we’ve found

Every new chapter

Filled with joy and laughter

God’s unlimited power

Our brightest hour

Things we should see

What’s truly meant to be

And how we love awhile

Appear behind the smile
