We see the leaves on a tree
Cause they’re meant to be
They show God’s will
While we sit perfectly still
They show the work we do
How God brought us through
Every moment we embrace
God’s mercy and grace
How far we travel
The dreams that won’t unravel
The way we care
All the things we share
Where we stand
As we hold God’s hand
And what we gain
Through heartache and pain
We see the leaves on a tree
They take us far
Without leaving a scar
They show God’s affection
As well as protection
The God given purpose
Rising to the surface
The solid ground we crave
The love God gave
How we reach our peak
When we hear God speak
The life we lead
Which is a blessing indeed
The amazing power
We feel hour after hour
The perfect peace
Our hearts won’t release
The pride we can’t hide
How we take things in stride
The incredible word
That’s the best we’ve heard
What we have to say
How we cherish every day
Our open eyes
What isn’t a surprise
And other things we see
In leaves on a tree
