I was all alone

In a place I’ve never known

I just couldn’t see

What was meant to be

I didn’t understand purpose

I didn’t see it come to the surface

I was too mentally blind

I couldn’t find peace of mind

But God came just in time

I thought I had it all

I didn’t have a care

I knew nothing about tender loving care

I got through each day

Living my own way

Nothing seemed grand

As I walked across the land

Then God came just in time

I’ve been through the fire

Down to the wire

Searching for my name

I hung my head in shame

I didn’t know how to be strong

I needed to be clear

About what was near

I woke up one day

Seeking a better way

I heard God calling

My pretenses began falling
