We sit and talk with God

Our voices linger in the air

Heaven tells us He’s there

We gain strength

As we talk at length

We see our divine purpose

Rise to the surface

Our conversation fills our core

Before God offers us more

We face our naysayers

As we say our prayers

Knowing God set our path

Without unleashing His wrath

We build as we go

We share what we know

We relish perfect peace

Our hearts won’t release

We learn to stand

As we hold God’s hand

We do a victory dance

To celebrate our second chance

We run our race

In a safe and secure place

As we embrace it to the letter

We sit and talk with God
