Last night

We sat and prayed

Our hearts never strayed

We counted blessings galore

As God filled our core

We reflected on our daily journey

One meant for us only

We reflected on life and love

As they came from heaven above

We thought of new dreams

Strange as it seems

We felt perfect peace

Our hearts couldn’t release

We suddenly became one

After we saw what God had done

God turned us around

Put us on solid ground

We saw our purpose

Lying at the surface

We faced our naysayers

As we said our prayers

Knowing God set our path

Without unleashing His wrath

We learned to stand

As we held God’s hand

Last night

We held our faith close

Knowing faith matters most

We moved without fear

As God held us near

We found our voice

As we began to rejoice

We gained strength

As we talked at length

We learned to smile

We laughed a little while

We found a home

Where our souls could roam

We prepared for another mission

With crystal clear vision

We saw what was for us

The God we all trust

We found a way

To cherish every day

We shared a word
