Sometimes I cry

Sometimes I wonder why

Sometimes I grapple with fear

Until I see God standing near

Sometimes I feel weak

Until I hear God speak

Sometimes I wonder what I’ll find

Then God gives me peace of mind

Sometimes I get turned around

Until God puts me on solid ground

Sometimes I learn to stand

As I hold God’s hand

Sometimes I wonder if I’ll grow

Before I share what I know

Sometimes I face my naysayers

As I say my prayers

Knowing God set my path

Without unleashing His wrath

Sometimes I do a victory dance

To celebrate my second chance

Sometimes I learn to smile

Even laugh a little while

Sometimes I feel brand new

When I see what God can do

Sometimes I find my voice

Before I begin to rejoice

Sometimes I share a word

That deserves to be heard

Sometimes I give as good as I get

Without an ounce of regret

Sometimes I feel something pure

I feel safe and secure

Sometimes I feel God’s power

Hour after hour

Sometimes I see life lessons learned

All the stripes I’ve earned

Sometimes I embrace the journey

Meant just for me only

Sometimes I plant seeds

That lead to good deeds

Sometimes I clearly see

What’s meant to be

Sometimes I see something real

Things I can’t conceal

Sometimes I start over again

Cause faith helps me win
