I’ve seen difficult days

While trying to change my ways

I’ve faced a lot of scorn

Had my heart torn

I’ve felt ashamed

I’ve been defamed

I’ve gotten lost

Not knowing the cost

Before God turned me around

Put me on solid ground

I’ve fallen far

I’ve had to heal every scar

I’ve fought every enemy

Not knowing what was meant to be

Until God revealed my purpose

Before it rose to the surface

I’ve looked straight ahead

While filled with dread

Until God set my path

Without unleashing His wrath

I’ve felt weak

Before hearing God speak

I’ve started over again

Learned that with faith I’ll win

I’m doing a victory dance

Cause God gave me a second chance

I’ve wondered what I’d find

Until God gave me peace of mind

I’ve grappled with doubt

Until God worked things out

I’ve grappled with fear

Until God held me near

I’ve searched for a place

Filled with mercy and grace

Then God gave me a home

Where my soul can roam

I’ve been through every storm

Learned to break every norm

I’ve wondered what to do

How I’d make it through

Then God took my hand

He taught me how to stand

I’ve changed my view

After seeing what God can do
