At midnight

A prayer lingers in the air

A sign shows God is there

We prepare for tomorrow

As God removes our sorrow

We see divine purpose appear

While God removes our fear

We see what’s in stone

God never leaves us alone

We gain strength

As we talk at length

We look straight ahead

Without an ounce of dread

Knowing God set our path

Without unleashing His wrath

We find solid ground

We share the joy we found

We learn to stand

As we hold God’s hand

We find our voice

Before we rejoice

Faith fills our core

Before God offers us more

And life gets better

As we embrace it to the letter

At midnight

We fall then rise again

Cause faith helps us win

We face our naysayers

As we say our prayers

Cause we see what’s for us

The God we all trust

We learn to let go

Of what we used to know

God heals every soul

He makes life whole

We build new dreams

Until we burst at the seams

We see the steps we take

All the memories we’ll make
