I hear old folks say

They accept God’s way

They feel nothing but love

As they look at heaven above

They know their purpose is clear

So they move without fear

They relish perfect peace

Their hearts won’t release

They stand on solid ground

They share the joy they found

They see what’s in stone

God never leaves them alone

They feel His power

Hour after hour

They rest in a place

Filled with mercy and grace

They do a victory dance

To celebrate their second chance

God fills their core

Before He offers them more

They enjoy moments of pleasure

Beyond all measure

They have something pure

They feel safe and secure

I hear old folks say

They live by a word

That deserves to be heard

They feel brand new

Cause they know what God can do

An answered prayer

Shows God is there

They build as they go

They share what they know

They fall then rise again

Knowing with faith they’ll win

They continue to dream

Strange as it may seem

They look in their hearts

Then see where love starts

They continue to stand

As they hold God’s hand

They fill every chapter

With joy and laughter

They find a surprise

Every time they open their eyes

God will never pretend

Cause His love will never end
