We rest in a home

Where our souls can roam

Then find a wonderful surprise

We move without fear

Cause God almighty is near

Our hearts beat as one

Cause we know what God has done

We know who we are

Love will take us far

We share a smile

That last quite a while

Cause we embrace it to the letter

Out Of The Dark

I’ve had some difficult days

While trying to change my ways

I’ve been down

Had my smile turned into a frown

I’ve grappled with doubt

Wondered if things would work out

I’ve been ashamed

I’ve been defamed

I’ve fallen far

Had to heal every scar

I’ve wondered what’s in stone

Thought I was all alone

I’ve shed a lot of tears

I’ve had a lot of fears

I’ve been weak

Too afraid to speak

I’ve been on my knees

Wondered who to please

I’ve searched for a place

Filled with mercy and grace

I’ve had many lessons to learn

Several stripes to earn

I’ve gotten lost

Not knowing the cost

I’ve longed for something new

Wondered how I’d make it through

I’ve wondered if this journey

Was meant for me only

I’ve longed for a home

Where my soul can roam

I’ve lost my voice

Before learning to rejoice

I’ve longed for a word

That deserves to be heard

Until God put me on a different path

Without unleashing His wrath

He healed my soul

Then made me whole

He lifted me up

Filled my cup

Turned me around

Put me on solid ground

Made me see

What’s truly meant to be

I’m on the move

With nothing to prove

I’m out of the dark
