Being secure is knowing who you are

Shining like a star

Sharing your love

Just like heaven above

Cherishing every day

Taking time to pray

Knowing faith is the key

Being the best you can be

Listening to God’s word

Cause it’s all you’ve heard

Taking a stand

While holding God’s hand

Looking in the mirror

As things become clearer

And having something pure

Will make you feel secure

All I want is love

As sent by heaven above

To pursue a dream

As strange as it may seem

To cherish each day

In a special way

To stay strong

Whether I’m right or wrong

And to hold God’s hand

Right where I stand

All I want

Is to clearly see

What’s meant to be

And be able to grow

As I share what I know

To share a gift

That gives others a lift

To always give

As I learn to live

And expose my soul

To what will make me whole

All I want is a chance

To do a victory dance

To spread joy and laughter

Farewell

Farewell to old things

And the pain doubt brings

The words of naysayers

And their lack of prayers

The scars on my knees

And those I tried to please

The difficult past

And what I thought would last

Farewell to fear

And what isn’t near

To lingering regret

And what I’d rather forget

To what let me down

And what turned me around

To taking the wrong turn

And what I let burn

Things will get well

And to that I say farewell

Unbreakable

I’ve been through the fire

Down to the wire

I’ve sat in shame

Not knowing my name

I’ve gotten lost

At an enormous cost

I’ve fallen far

Cause I wasn’t up to par

But what’s unmistakable

Is I’m unbreakable

I’ve lived in fear

Didn’t know God was near

I’ve struggled with doubt

And how to work things out

I’ve sat on the edge

Without taking a pledge

I’ve learned lessons

While making confessions

Starting Over

I lost my way

But I prayed every day

Didn’t know what I had

Which made me sad

I searched high and low

For what would help me grow

I searched for peace

That I wouldn’t release

I searched for solid ground

Before I turned around

I lived in fear

Didn’t know God was near

Couldn’t find a special place

Where I could see God’s grace

It took a long time

To reach my prime

Then I got there

With tender loving care

I haven’t been the same

The world knows my name

I don’t regret the lesson

That is now my confession

It’s there for a reason

I’ll carry it every season

Cause I’m starting over

All I See

When I look

Is the love for me

The gorgeous smile

That last a while

That spreads joy across the land

I can cherish my days

The various lessons

That become confessions
