Again

I saw you yesterday

And my smile never went away

We talked about the love

Sent from heaven above

We held hands

Right where love stands

Our memories lasted forever

As we reflected on them together

God almighty was there

So was tender loving care

And we knew love would win

Again

We embarked on a journey

Meant for us only

Our bond began to grow

Through all we know

We found a place

Filled with God’s grace

Our purpose appeared too

Despite what we’ve gone through

We knew we’d last

Despite our difficult past

God was with us

In Him we trust

And we know love will win

Again

Anytime

We face every day

Time, we cherish in every way

The moments we share

Contain tender loving care

God filled us to the core

Then offered us more

The seeds have been planted

We take nothing for granted

We can think of our prime

Anytime

Love has set us free

We’re where we should be

The blessings are real

And too hard to conceal

As we do our love dance

We build our romance

We share our dreams

Until we burst at the seams

Our bond is strong

Our days are long

It’s plain to see

We’re meant to be

We have love

Just like heaven above

We’re on a journey

Meant for us only

And we can think of our prime

Anytime

The Past

The past is what used to be
And all the eye can see
It’s full of memories galore
That fill the heart to the core
It’s a place and time
That reminds us of our prime
It has a strange way
Of filling every day
It can teach lessons
That turn into heartfelt confessions
The past is a journey
Meant for the soul only
It can offer something pure
It can make us feel secure
It is a step we take
And something we make
It’s something we do on our own
While in our comfort zone
It can give us strength
After talking to God at length
It has a purpose
That lies at the surface
It’s something we share
Cause we know God is there
It’s certainly built to last
The past

Painted Picture

As I look at the painted picture

I think of a new venture

I saw your face

In the perfect place

And I knew then

That we’d find a way to win

The vision of our love

Appeared like heaven above

We created a bond

Of which we’re very fond

And life offered a surprise

When I opened my eyes

I saw the journey

Meant for us only

It didn’t take long

To see where we belong

Our love grew

Above what we knew

I saw the past

And tender moments that last

I could clearly see

What’s meant to be

Life gave us more

We counted blessings galore

And we continued our venture

As I looked at the painted picture

Lines On My Face

Look at the lines on my face

They follow me from place to place

They show what I hold dear

Almighty God standing near

The dreams I hold close

What I love the most

The journey I see in my eyes

What may come as a surprise

All the love I feel

What my heart can’t conceal

What I know for sure

What makes me feel secure

What fills me to the core

How God gives me more

The pleasure of every day

How God leads the way

The very special place

Filled with God’s grace

My incredible story

Basking in God’s glory

How I reached for a star

How God healed every scar

The ground beneath my feet

Where God and I meet

And how I travel from place to place

With lines on my face
