I hear old folks say

They know God will make a way

That His love

Comes from heaven above

That He offers peace

The heart won’t release

That every journey

Is meant for the soul only

That their dreams

Make them burst at the seams

That life is better

Cause they embrace it to the letter

That God gave them a home

Where their souls can roam

That God removed all doubt

He’ll work things out

That He changed their name

Then removed their shame

That blessings were granted

As they watered the seeds they planted

That God’s power

Spreads hour after hour

And that God gave them more

Than they could ask for

I hear old folks say

They have a treasure

They cherish beyond measure

They know what to ignore

As God fills them to the core

That they do a victory dance

Whenever they get a chance

That they hold hands

Right where love stands

That they changed their view

After seeing what God can do

That they get stronger

As their days get longer

That their purpose is clear

So, they move without fear

That faith is the key

To what’s meant to be

That come what may

God will make a way

Is what old folks say

Got lost along the way

But I prayed every day

I remember what I saw

How my heart began to thaw

I hung on the word

That needs to be heard

Then found peace

My heart won’t release

I stumbled here and there

But faith showed God was there

I searched for a home

Where my soul could roam

Before God set my path

Without unleashing His wrath

I finally learned to dream

Strange though it may seem

I learned what to ignore

As God filled me to the core

I finally found solid ground

I share the joy I found

I feel the love

Coming from heaven above

My purpose is clear

So, I move without fear

I broke into a smile

That runs about a mile

I grappled with doubt

Until God worked things out

I passed every test

Just like all the rest

I plant seeds

That lead to good deeds

I looked straight ahead

Heart filled with dread

Until God opened my eyes

To a wonderful surprise

I reached my peak

After hearing God speak

I thought I was alone

But God set things in stone

I see what’s by design

So, everything is fine

I’m out of the dark

Sometimes God needs you alone so He can have your undivided attention when He blesses you.

It’s working because God is leading it.

God will take care of you.

Keep the faith. God answers prayers in His own way and in His own time.

Cause faith always wins

We prepare for a journey

We have a talk with God

Which ends with a wink and nod

Our souls are set free

We know it’s meant to be

We gain a renewed strength

As we talk at length

We marvel at what we find

While still in our prime

Our crystal clear view

Shows what God can do

We feel God’s affection

We have His protection

We sit perfectly still

As we accept God’s will

Faith carries us through

And we start life anew

We start every day anew

As God carries us through

We gain our strength

As we talk with God at length

Our daily journey

Is meant for us only

God has given us a home

Where our souls can roam

We move without fear

Cause God almighty is near

We know what’s for us

In God we trust

God set things in stone

We’re never left alone

Our smile is mile wide

Our gratitude we can’t hide

God removed every cloud

The thought makes us proud

We hang on the encouraging word

We’ve always heard

We plant seeds

That lead to good deeds

We look into our hearts

Then see where love starts

We hold each other close

Cause bonding matters most

Our naysayers we ignore

As God fills us to the core

In one unified voice

We begin to rejoice

The moments we share

The dreams we dare

Show faith is the key

God lifts us up

He fills our cup

God reveals His plan

As soon as He can

Too difficult to conceal

Our guiding light

Shines day and night
