We look at the hands of time
While still in our prime
We see the long road traveled
The soul that never unraveled
The God who made a way
Then taught us to live every day
We see the blessings granted
All the seeds we planted
All the moments we shared
The dreams we dared
What helps us thrive
How we’re able to survive
The way we removed doubt
That God would work things out
The faith that keeps us strong
Whether we’re right or wrong
The God given purpose
Lying at the surface
Our solid ground
All the joy we found
The life meant for us
And the God we trust
As we look at the hands of time
We see where we stand
As we hold God’s hand
We see the lessons
That have become confessions
Every daily journey
Meant for us only
Things we ignore
As God fills us to the core
The encouraging word
We’ve always heard
The special place
Filled with God’s grace
The perfect peace
Our hearts won’t release
How God removed every cloud
Moments that made us proud
What makes us smile
Even laugh a little while
And what we’ll gain
Through heartache and pain
As we watch the hands of time
