We looked at the past
We made every moment last
We survived every day
By learning to pray
We grappled with fear
Until we saw God standing near
We saw what we’d gain
Through heartache and pain
Our journey kept us strong
Whether we were right or wrong
We got filled to the core
Before God offered us more
We fell and rose again
Cause faith helped us win
We had some doubt
Until God worked things out
He holds us close
Cause we matter most
The feeling is real
Too difficult to conceal
We see what’s by design
Everything is fine
God brought us from the brink
Taught us how to think
He fills every soul
He makes life whole
He taught us to stand
As we hold His hand
We hang on His word
Cause it’s all we’ve heard
We feel His affection
We have His protection
We’ve found a place
Filled with mercy and grace
God found us for sure
We feel something pure
He reveals what’s in stone
He never leaves us alone
We now have a guide
Who stays by our side
We keep going
All while knowing
We’ve started anew
It feels like morning dew
