During the walk home

I say a prayer

Thanking God for being there

I embrace the day

I accept God’s way

And all the stripes I’ve earned

I feel the unconditional love

My purpose suddenly appears

I gain a renewed strength

By talking with God at length

I rely on His word

During the walk home

To a wonderful surprise

I think of the dreams

That make me burst at the seams

The staircase sits in a room

It fills every day

It shows us the way

It is the journey we take

The purpose we fulfill

The result of God’s will

It shows what God can do

It offers us direction
