The River

At the river we stand

As God holds every hand

We reflect on the love

That comes from heaven above

The journey we take

The memories we make

We watch the water flow

We share what we know

We find eternal peace

We simply can’t release

We share a smile

The smile last quite awhile

We share our story

In all God’s glory

We give as good as we get

With very little regret

We plant seeds

That lead to good deeds

We find something pure

It makes us feel secure

We see a plan

God reveals when He can

At the river we stand

So safe and sound

Faith turned us around

We find a way

To live every day

Life gets better

Cause we embrace it to the letter

We do a victory dance

When we get a chance

We see what’s in stone

God never leaves us alone

We see our reflection

And God’s unlimited protection

We travel far

To reach for a star

We share our dreams

Until we burst at the seams

The tender loving care

Is always there

At the river

The Walk Home

During the walk home

I allow my soul to roam

I think of beautiful days

How I changed my ways

What fills me to the core

How God gives me more

The love I feel

What my heart can’t conceal

The lessons I’ve learned

The stripes I’ve earned

The hand I hold

A story to be told

The beautiful place

Filled with mercy and grace

The word I hear

How I let go of fear

During the walk home

I think of the dreams

That make me burst at the seams

The tender touch

That means so much

The strength I gain

During heartache and pain

What’s meant to be

The power in me

The God given journey

Meant for me only

The golden voice

That makes me rejoice

The power of God

Giving Him a wink and nod

Learning how to give

Learning how to live

Taking the time

To remember my prime

Finding something pure

What makes me feel secure

Starting a new chapter

Filled with joy and laughter

How I pray

How I cherish every day

And how I let my soul roam

During the walk home

Torn Apart

We shared every day

In our own special way

We shared every dream

Strange though it may seem

We traveled far

To reach for a star

Nothing could have been better

We loved life to the letter

Every moment we shared

Showed how much we cared

We felt no shame

The world heard our name

We did what we could

Like we knew we would

And our hearts were torn apart

We heard God’s voice in the distance

We offered no resistance

We let go of fear

Cause God almighty was near

We held hands

Right where love stands

We did a lover’s dance

As we began a new romance

We began to sing

We saw the joy life can bring

We were filled to the core

Life offered us more

We saw what life gets

We had no regrets

We carried every lesson

That became a confession

Every tender touch

Meant so much

We reached our peak

When we heard God speak

We ran our race

At our own pace

And our hearts were torn apart

Through The Storm

As we get through the storm

We break every norm

We offer a prayer

Thanking God for being there

We take one step at a time

As we remember our prime

We fall and rise again

As God teaches us to win

We learn how to live

We learn how to give

We feel the love

Coming from heaven above

We carry life lessons

That become heartfelt confessions

As we go through the storm

We take a stand

As we hold God’s hand

We lift every voice

As we begin to rejoice

We find a place

Filled with mercy and grace

We learn to let go

Of things we used to know

We find solid ground

God turns our lives around

We embark on a journey

Meant for us only

We find our affection

And plenty of protection

We listen to a word

That’s the best we’ve heard

We share our dreams

Until we burst at the seams

Life gets better

Cause we embrace it to the letter

Our faith becomes a must

In God we trust

And we break every norm

As we go through the storm
