In A Way

In a way

We cherish every day

We travel far

To reach for a star

We learn as we go

We share what we know

We see what we’ll gain

Through heartache and pain

We spent our time

Remembering our prime

We sit perfectly still

As we accept God’s will

We ignore our naysayers

As we say our prayers

We give as good as we get

With very little regret

We stand on our principles

As God performs His miracles

We suddenly find a place

Filled with mercy and grace

We put away childish things

As we embrace the joy life brings

And we get to reveal

What out hearts can’t conceal

In a way

We look in our hearts

As another day starts

We learn to rejoice

When we hear God’s voice

Every moment is golden

To God we’re beholden

Life gets better

We embrace it to the letter

We see the key

To what’s meant to be

We do a victory dance

When we get a chance

We know what’s true

And what God brought us through

We begin to breathe

Cause love won’t let us leave

And we decide where we’ll stay

In a way

Walking On Sunshine

Enjoying every moment of the day

Wouldn’t have it any other way

God works day and night

He’s our guiding light

Counting blessings granted

Watering seeds planted

Is the way to go

As we share what we know

We’ve embarked on a journey

Ordained by God only

It offers something pure

It makes us feel secure

No one can take

All the memories we’ll make

It’s simply God’s will

We learned as we stood still

Everything’s fine

Cause we’re walking on sunshine

We hold each other close

Cause love matters most

Nothing can compare

To the bond we share

We carry life lessons

That become heartfelt confessions

Our bond grows stronger

As the days get longer

We hold God’s hand

Right where we stand

It’s part of the love

That comes from heaven above

We have no fear

Cause God almighty is near

Our love is a gift

That gives us a lift

It takes us far

Without leaving a scar

We start every chapter

With joy and laughter

We share our dreams

Until we burst at the seams

What we feel is real

Too difficult to conceal

Everything’s find

Cause we’re walking on sunshine

Lovely Day

I wake up in the morning

Sun shining bright

I see my guiding light

Peace of mind

Is all I can find

I prepare for a journey

Planned by God only

I know it’s real

It’s difficult to conceal

Everything I see

Is meant just for me

It doesn’t take long

To see where I belong

God’s tender loving care

Is something I share

He sends me on my way

And I can see it’s going to be

A lovely day

I learn while on the go

I share what I know

I smell beautiful flowers

For what seems like hours

I see my purpose

Rise to the surface

I give as good as I get

With very little to regret

I get a chance

To do a victory dance

Every step I take

Is a memory I’ll make

I begin to smile

The smile last a while

It’s God’s hand

Touching me where I stand

I create another chapter

Filled with joy and laughter

And all I can say

Is it’s going to be a lovely day

At Midnight

At midnight

We’ll say a silent prayer

God will be standing there

We’ll cherish the day

We’ll accept God’s way

We’ll count the blessings granted

And all the seeds we’ve planted

The moment will be hard to ignore

We’ll be filled to the core

We’ll finally be free

We’ll see what’s meant to be

Our guiding light

Will shine day and night

We’ll fill the love

Sent from heaven above

We’ll see something pure

It’ll make us feel secure

And God will plan a journey

Meant for us only

At midnight

Everything will be set in stone

God won’t leave us alone

We’ll learn what’s true

How God brought us through

We’ll have a hand to hold

Our story will be told

We’ll share our dreams

Until we burst at the seams

Some things will change

And that won’t seem strange

We’ll finally let go

Of things we used to know

We’ll reveal

What our hearts can’t conceal

We’ll give as good as we get

With very little regret

We’ll stand tall

God will be on call

And we’ll prepare for another day

Our own way

At midnight
