Behind The Heart

Behind the heart

Is where love should start

Where everything should go

Where we share what we know

Where we see

What’s truly meant to be

Where we gain strength

When we talk with God at length

Where time passes by

And we never ask why

Where everything stays

Where we change our ways

And we finally find

Peace of mind

Behind the heart

Is where we sit still

As we accept God’s will

Where we find our purpose

Lying beneath the surface

Where we all stand

As we hold God’s hand

Where we all begin

As we learn to win

Where we learn who we are

As we reach for a star

Where we take time

To remember our prime

Where things get better

And we love to the letter

Where we’re absolutely sure

And we feel safe and secure

Where we face our naysayers

As we say our prayers

Where we find a treasure

Beyond all measure

Where every step we take

Is a memory we’ll make

Where we see what we hold

And our story is told

Where we get filled to the core

And God offers us more

As we start

With what’s behind the heart

Sunny Days

Sunny days

Please me in many ways

I think of blessings granted

The seeds I’ve planted

God’s powerful word

The voice I’ve heard

Precious moments shared

The dreams I’ve dared

The journey for me

What’s truly meant to be

The lessons I’ve learned

The stripes I’ve earned

Giving as good as I get

With little to regret

Sunny days

Please me in many ways

They make me think of love

Sent from heaven above

The shining light

I follow day and night

The moments I pray

How I cherish every day

Everything I do

What God brought me through

The brand new chapter

Filled with joy and laughter

What fills my soul

What makes me whole

Something warm and pure

What makes me feel secure

The special place

Filled with mercy and grace

The solid ground I feel

What’s too difficult to conceal

God’s amazing power

What I feel hour after hour

Things that make me smile

How the smile last a while

Letting go of fear

Seeing God standing near

Holding God’s hand

Right where I stand

Lifting my voice

As I begin to rejoice

And finding ways

To see sunny days

Stolen Moments

Stolen moments with you

Feel like morning dew

Every touch is golden

To God we’re beholden

There’s nothing to fear

Whenever you’re near

You fill me to the core

Then give me more

You are the light

I follow day and night

You fill every day

In a very special way

You are the key to my soul

You make me whole

Stolen moments with you

Always carry me through

You take my hand

You truly understand

You hold me close

Cause I matter most

You let me know

How I can grow

You share a love

Sent from heaven above

You are the dream I hold

You’re a story untold

You give me strength

Whenever we talk at length

You offer protection

And plenty of affection

You give me peace

I’ll never release

You make me sing

With the joy you bring

And there’s nothing I wouldn’t do

For stolen moments with you

Time After Time

Time after time

We remember our prime

We count the days

We count the ways

We embrace what’s real

Things our hearts can’t conceal

We learn as we go

We share what we know

We hold hands

Right where love stands

We let go of fear

We hold our faith near

And we count our blessings

Without a lot of stressing

Time after time

We face our naysayers

As we say our prayers

We follow God’s lead

He keeps us strong indeed

We start another chapter

Filled with joy and laughter

We remember who we are

As we reach for a star

We look in each other’s eyes

And it’s no surprise

God made it plain

We have a lot to gain

We get a chance

To do a victory dance

Things are set in stone

God never leaves us alone

We find solid ground

We share the joy we found

God offers a place

Filled with mercy and grace

We give as good as we get

We let go of regret

We embrace a journey

Meant for us only

And we continue to share

Tender loving care

Time after time
