Safe Space

We’re in a safe space

As we travel from place to place

God leads the way

With each passing day

We get stronger

As our days get longer

We remove fear

Cause we know God is near

We all see things

We cherish what life brings

We share a love

That comes from heaven above

And we cherish blessings

Without a lot of stressing

We’re in a safe space

As we run our race

Whenever we fall

God answers our call

He is the light

We follow day and night

We ignore our naysayers

As we say our prayers

We follow God’s word

Cause it’s the best we’ve heard

We simply give

As we learn to live

We are free

We see what’s meant to be

We remember who we are

As we reach for a star

We share our dreams

Until we burst at the seams

We look at God

Give Him a wink and nod

We walk side by side

Along with our guide

We have something to hold

Our story will be told

We know what we share

God will be there

As we run our race

In our safe space

Remember When

I remember when we met

Moments I’ll never forget

I remember when we kissed

There was nothing we missed

I remember when we began to rejoice

As we heard God’s voice

I remember when we prayed

How long our blessings stayed

I remember when we talked

Every mile we walked

I remember when we heard

God’s everlasting word

I remember when we held each other close

Like love mattered most

I remember when we revealed

Things our hearts concealed

I remember when we found

Our sacred solid ground

I remember when we traveled

All the secrets that unraveled

I remember when we cried

All the things we couldn’t hide

I remember when we learned

And all the stripes we earned

I remember when we let go

Of things we used to know

I remember when we found purpose

Lying at the surface

I remember when pain

Made us see what we’d gain

I remember when love

Came from heaven above

I remember when time

Made us remember our prime

I remember when a smile

Lasted quite awhile

I remember when we stood still

As we accepted God’s will

I remember when

God fills every day

In His own special way

He works morning, noon and night

He is a guiding light

He offers love and care

He’s always there

He fills the soul

He makes life whole

He stands on principles

As He performs small miracles

He shows what can be

He sees what we can’t see

He plants seeds

That lead to good deeds

He is the power

We feel hour after hour

We have a bond

From here and beyond

He fills every cup

He lifts us up

He feels the heart

Where love should start

He sets things in stone

He never leaves us alone

He is the journey

Meant for us only

He is honest and true

He carries us through

He is a place

Filled with mercy and grace

He has a word

That’s the best we’ve heard

He takes a stand

As he holds our hand

For all to see

That’s how it’s supposed to be

Young man

You are a treasure to behold

You’re a story untold

You provide a love

Sent by heaven above

Your strength means all

You answer every call

Your daily journey

Is ordained by God only

Your voice has a power

Others feel hour after hour

You remember who you are

As you reach for a star

You connect with God

With just a wink and nod

We let go of fear

Whenever you’re near

You hold life close

Cause it matters most

You fill every day

In your own special way

You are the light

We follow day and night

Every step you take

Is a memory you’ll make

Right or wrong

You remain strong

Your mouth can reveal

What your heart can’t conceal

God planted the seed

You are a blessing indeed

You know how to live

You know how to give

You stand on solid ground

You are the joy we’ve found

You make the world smile

It always last awhile

You provide a peace

We just can’t release

You are part of God’s plan

Young man

Young Woman

Young woman

You are God’s light

You shine day and night

Your face glows

From everything your heart knows

You provide a love

Sent from heaven above

Your warm embrace

Follows you from place to place

Your wide smile

Stays with others awhile

The world hears your voice

And begins to rejoice

The pride some feel

Is too difficult to conceal

Everything’s set in stone

Your beauty and grace stand alone

You make the world see

What’s truly meant to be

Your tender touch

Means so much

You stand on principles

As God performs miracles

You send others a prayer

Letting them know God is there

You are the journey

Meant for the soul only

God created you

You carries you through

Others look you in the eye

And don’t have to ask why

It’s part of a plan

God reveals when He can

You plant seeds

That lead to good deeds

Right or wrong

You know where you belong

You are a sight to behold

You are a story untold

Your spirit will go far

As you reach for a star
