Learning to cherish God’s way

Feeling the tender touch

That means so much

Looking at heaven above

Seeing nothing but love

Hearing a voice

That made me rejoice

Feeling God’s power

Seeing my purpose

Rise to the surface

Seeing where I stand

As I hold God’s hand

Finally finding peace

That I can’t release

Too difficult to conceal

Feeling something pure

Feeling safe and secure

Learning to smile

Even laugh a little while

Counting blessings granted

Watering the seeds I’ve planted

Listening to a word

That’s the best I’ve heard

Letting go of fear

Not knowing God is near

Remembering my prime

One moment at a time

Doing a victory dance

Whenever I get a chance

Learning to see

What’s truly meant to be

God filling my soul

Seeing what makes life whole

Giving as good as I get

Letting go of regret

Are par for the course though

And things I used to know

Very soon you will smile and forget your sad moments because God is about to change your story.

When everyone else left, God stayed.

Blessings come from above

They’re a sign of God’s love

They’re something we share

They appear every day

We cherish them in every way

Before God offers us more

They help us stop stressing

We called them blessings

Dark days

Come to us in many ways

Moments filled with fear

While not knowing God is near

Moments we are unsure

Moments we feel insecure

Moments we sit and cry

And then wonder why

Moments we fall

Before God answers our call

Moments we try to find

Some peace of mind

Moments we run a race

At our own pace

Dark days

They come and go

They’re all we know

They cause some pain

Before we see what we’ll gain

They impact the soul

Before God makes us whole

They tear at the heart

Before we get a new start

They’re always there

Before God answers a prayer

They appear in every dream

Strange thought it may seem

They reach solid ground

Before we turn things around

They are the key

To where our faith should be

We’ll get stronger

As our days get longer

We’ll have some dark days

God works in mysterious ways.

God is ready and willing to bless you.
