Seven days of purpose

Rising to the surface

Seven days of a light

I follow day and night

Seven days of the voice

That makes me rejoice

Seven days of a plan

God reveals when He can

Seven days of what’s true

And how God brought me through

Seven days of healing

That I won’t be concealing

Seven days my heart

Gave me a start

Seven days I’m sure

Seven days I feel safe and secure

Seven days of laughter

Seven days of a new chapter

Seven days I’m not alone

Seven days things are set in stone

Seven days filled with affection

And plenty of protection

Seven days without fear

Knowing God is always near

Seven days I’m filled to the core

Then offered much more

Seven days of power

I feel hour after hour

Seven days of solid ground

And the joy I found

Seven days of blessings

Without a lot of stressing

Seven days of a touch

That means so much

We accept God’s ways

All seven days

We share every day

In a very special way

God provides for us

In Him we trust

Our very souls were saved

We started anew

We changed our point of view

As we talked with God at length

We embraced the journey

We learned from the past

While making every moment last

And we held each other close

Last night

We followed the light

That shines day and night

It provided a blessing

Without a lot of stressing

God made clear

What He holds dear

He offered us affection

Along with plenty of protection

We learned to sit still

As we accept His will

We found something to hold

Our story will be told

Our faith became real

Too difficult to conceal

We began to see

What’s truly meant to be

We learned to let go

Of things we used to know

We found a place

Filled with mercy and grace

We struck a few poses

While smelling several roses

And we took in a beautiful sight

I’m smelling roses

While striking a few poses

They represent each day

How I made a way

Where I’m supposed to be

The dreams that motivate me

They fill my soul

They make me whole

They’re part of a journey

Meant for me only

They’re sent by God

I offer Him a wink and nod

And they help me stand

As I hold God’s hand

I’m smelling roses

The scent I can’t ignore

They fill me to the core

They give me a pride

I simply cannot hide

They fill me with the purpose

That lies at the surface

They keep me strong

Whether I’m right or wrong

They make me see

The roses represent love

When things get out of control, remember that we serve a God who is in control.

Trust God even when the answer is wait.

We reflect on each day

As we accept God’s way

We stumble here and there

But we still stay in prayer

We get filled to the core

As life offers us more

Some didn’t think we’d last

But we learned from the past

Our journey is real

Too hard to conceal
